Free, Live Music Returns to Downtown Hartford this Summer

Hartford BID to bring back Pratt Street Sounds from June through September

Hartford, CT, April 30, 2025 –The Hartford Business Improvement District and Hartford.com are pleased to announce the return of their weekly live music series on Pratt Street in downtown Hartford. Pratt Street Sounds, which is free and open to the general public, will feature local, original music every Friday evening from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, weather permitting. The series begins on June 13 and will run through the end of September.

For the second year in a row Pratt Street Sounds will feature two performers/bands each night, pairing local artists from around the state in a wide variety of genres including, but not limited to, hip-hop, folk, blues, country, indie rock, and R&B. “We are very excited to bring back these free, outdoor musical performances to downtown Hartford,” said Chip McCabe, Hartford BID Director of Placemaking and Events. “This year’s line-up features some of the most renowned local acts from across Connecticut. We are extremely grateful for the support of the Richard P. Garmany Fund, without whom we would not be able to bring this music to the masses.”
